Bristol Fair Trade Social: Cocoa & Exploitation

  • Resbite Café at the Bristol Palestine Museum & Cultural Centre 27 Broad Street Bristol, BS1 2HG (map)

Join us as we take a look at the cocoa industry: its impact on the environment, its exploitation of workers (especially women) and how you can take action to demand better.

Our discussion will be the starting point for Bristol Fair Trade's campaign at this year's Festival of Nature (8th - 9th June, Queen Square), as we look at how we can engage as many of the festival's 15,000 visitors as possible on Fair Trade. See below for volunteering opportunities at the festival.

Bring some cash, as there'll be the usual irresistible vegan buffet from our hosts at the Resbite Café, plus hot and cold drinks. Arrive at 7 to fill your plates and meet the group.

Free entry but please register your attendance through the Eventbrite page.https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bristol-fair-trade-social-cocoa-exploitation-tickets-60567220186
